A Philosophy of Ministry and Pastoral Leadership (Dr. Joel R. Soza)

What differentiates the Christian Church from other organizations is the emphasis placed on community that is founded in the life of faith because of the truth of Jesus Christ. Because a Christian community of any kind seeks to advance Christ’s kingdom, all that is done is accomplished through the truth of Christian scripture and the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. High priority should be placed on exposition and explanation of the scriptures, with love of God and love of others continuously emphasized.

Thus, the Christian Church is committed to an investigation and appropriation of God’s truth, while simultaneously promoting the highest character standards possible for facing life’s triumphs, tragedies, joys, sorrows, and challenges. Ultimately, the goal is to create a well-rounded, stimulating environment which prepares individuals for a whole host of service and ministry opportunities, while growing in faith, worshipping God, and reaching out to the world.
